Cloud Posse is a DevOps Accelerator. We help companies implement their AWS architectures the rigthway using Terraform. We specialize in what's called “Cold Starts”, which is how companies get started; but have vast experience performing complex migrations and replatforming initiatives. We have solutions for companies at every stage of their journey: from bootstrapped companies just getting off the ground, to billion dollar unicorns and publicly-traded enterprise companies.
A “DevOps Accelerator” is a subcategory of Professional Services. It means that the provider has a proven, systematic, and repeatable process to help companies achieve a certain level of organizational “DevOps” maturity.
Our products are all Open Source. They're used by thousands of companies. They are published on our GitHub, licensed under the permissive APACHE2 license.
Our professional service is the proprietary configuration and deployment of our reference architecture for AWS for your business in your accounts. It encompasses everything a business needs, all the way from foundational infrastructure and security to the platform and what sits on top. We provide a comprehensive release engineering strategy for continuous integration and delivery, as well as SRE practices you need to be successful. Pick and choose what you need. It's all available today and ready to go.
Cloud Landscape
The cloud landscape is vast and interconnected. We specialize on integration between all the various providers and layers. While we specialize on AWS, we integrate with dozens of external services—and we do it all with Terraform. Here's just an example of some of the services we help companies leverage as part of our turnkey solution.

There are four critical layers to well-built infrastructure. Each layer builds on top of the other and has its own SDLC, tools, and strategies. The stability of your platform depends mainly on the strength of the foundation. We work with you to tackle each of these layers, from top to bottom. That's our reference architecture.
4 Layers of Infrastructure

Reference Architecture
Our reference architecture consists of 2 parts: a formal project plan and the code library of reusable modules and components.
Project Plan
We maintain a continuously up-to-date advanced project plan in Jira that we leverage in every engagement. It consists of 4 major phases, each broken down into smaller milestones (epics). We've identified hundreds of design decisions and implementation tasks that we execute together with your team.
Here's what the breakdown looks like:
- Phase 1: Foundational Infrastructure & Platform
- Accounts, OUs, VPCs, Subnets, DNS, IAM, etc
- Phase 2: Foundational Release Engineering
- CI/CD, Preview Environments, automated deployments/rollbacks
- Phase 3: Foundational Security & Compliance
- BeyondCorp/Zero Trust, Teleport, WAF, SecurityHub, GuardDuty, etc.
- Phase 4: Foundational SRE
- Monitoring foundation, log aggregation, escalations
Infrastructure as Code Library
We publish everything on our GitHub, free of charge and licensed under the permissive APACHE2 software license. This is how we can move so fast because we've done it before (mistakes and all!) to save you time on implementation. Check out our infrastructure catalog, and you'll probably find what you need. You'll find even more on our GitHub.
Office Hours
Join us every Wednesday at 11:30am PST (GMT-8) to talk shop. We discuss everything related to DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD Release Engineering.
Basically, they are like a “Lunch & Learn” session where we get together for about an hour to talk shop.
These are totally free and just an opportunity to ask us any questions and learn about cool things we come across.
Slack Community
We run a friendly community with over 5,000+ DevOps experts. These are not just any experts. These are our biggest fans and current customers that use our open source. It's free for everyone to join.
Open Source
Open Source is our specialty, and we have practical, hands-on experience deploying some of the most popular software. Check out our GitHub that showcases some of our current library of services we regularly deploy to Kubernetes. We have even more that we reserve for our customers.
Supported Integrations
Our customers frequently ask us to add support for many third-party services. Today, we support dozens of integrations with many popular SaaS services. These are entirely optional.
