Apart is looking for someone to own and scale our hackathon program: events that bring together 200-1000+ participants globally to work on AI safety research questions.
The role (80% hackathons,20% general ops):
β Run the full hackathon lifecycle: speaker recruitment, partner coordination, live event ops, post-event impact tracking
β Keep our systems running smoothly (Notion, Zapier, Discord, etc.)
β Support participants before, during, and after events
β Help with general ops work
You might be a fit if you've:
β’ Run large online/hybrid events or programs
β’ Built operational systems that actually worked
β’ Made judgment calls when things went sideways
β’ Cared enough about the details to make participants want to come back
Remote, flexible arrangements (full-time or contractor). Preference for CET/PST but open to discussing.
