Hi Folks, I'm new here. I work at Splunk on the OTel team. I was hoping to get some feedback on a new open source project we just launched called Observability Studio (ObStudio), a local OpenTelemetry workspace that helps developers audit, add, and verify instrumentation. The goal is to make OTel simpler to implement and help more teams adopt it.
Here's a link to the
repo and a
getting started guide. If you play around with it, I'd love your feedback. Where does implementation still feel hardest? What would make ObStudio more useful in your workflow? If you don't have an observability backend you can mess around in, we have a very generous free edition of our observability platform
here. Thanks! Have a great weekend!
